MDC now has a digital-twin campus created to enhance learning and academic support for students. The hyper realistic 3D model of the College’s physical grounds and buildings will serve as a complementary tool to its state-of-the– art facilities, allowing students, faculty, and visitors to join classes, take campus tours, attend events, and more in the metaverse. “As online classes continue to grow, MDC’s metaverse campus will provide students with real classroom interactive experiences, as well as the tools to help them succeed,” said MDC President Madeline Pumariega. “This project offers a unique opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to explore and create immersive virtual environments, fostering innovation and transformative learning outcomes. We want to continue offering educational resources that prepare our graduates to thrive in a digital world where technology evolves by the minute.”
