Miami Dade College, together with the City of Miami’s Venture Miami team, partnered to launch a scholarship program which will fuel pathways for students who wish to pursue careers in STEM. In partnership with both the public and private sector, “this scholarship will ensure that every student has access to the education and skills needed for the jobs of the future,” said MDC President Madeline Pumariega. “It supports our commitment to student career development.” The program launched with an initial $500,000 allocation from the city, which is being matched by MDC, Florida International University, Florida Memorial University and the University of Miami.
