Hemispheric leaders from across Latin America and Spain converged on MDC’s Wolfson Campus for the 7th Annual Presidential Dialogue Forum. As we accelerate our mission of being Democracy’s College, we are continually striving to inspire our students to find their passion, purpose and role in ensuring that they are engaged global citizens who will go on to make an impact in our community and in our world.
MDC’s Role in Driving Miami’s Economic Growth
Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade, Marisa Lago, made a stop at MDC for a dynamic roundtable discussion focused on the crucial role our institution plays in supporting small businesses and driving economic development in the community. Students and alumni from the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses (10KSB) program joined in on the conversation and shared valuable insights on their experiences in the program, made possible by support from the U.S. Department of Commerce.
Leaders Unite for Global Impact
The President of Export-Import Bank of the United States, Reta Jo Lewis, stopped by our Wolfson Campus to connect with students and shared valuable advice for their future careers. Her visit also brought together leaders from a variety of industries for a roundtable discussion surrounding the importance of global trade and how it impacts our local economy.
