A Transformational Investment to Miami Dade College

As MDC came together to honor our graduates, the College also had the opportunity to celebrate a transformational $20 million investment from Citadel Founder and CEO Kenneth Griffin, which will establish the Griffin Scholarship Fund to provide all qualifying high school graduates in Miami-Dade County access to a high-quality college education. This historic gift will build upon our mission of being the pathway to the American Dream, and will undoubtedly impact and accelerate our efforts in ensuring that every student has an opportunity to achieve economic mobility.
Since our founding, we have been dedicated to transforming students’ lives through academic excellence, innovation, and opportunity. At MDC we recognize that over half of our students come from low-income households and we know that opportunity changes everything. With this gift, we are empowered to continue reimagining student success and academic excellence that is made possible at MDC through the dedication of our world-class faculty and staff.
