MDC is a driving force in empowering the next generation of talent by providing a unique platform for top-tier leaders from across the globe to come together and share their expertise with our students. With a focus on preparing students for the future of work, MDC has welcomed a wide range of industry leaders onto its campuses for dynamic collaborations with our students where they’re able to gain valuable insights and knowledge from some of the most innovative and successful minds in the industry.
(1) Jamie Merisotis | President and CEO Lumina Foundation
His visit brought the Academic Leaders Council together to MDC’s Wolfson Campus for an engaging roundtable discussion with both academic and government leaders to discuss the future of talent, work, and education.
(2) Barbara Humpton | President and CEO, Siemens Corporation
At the Idea Center, students were given a unique opportunity to participate in a masterclass with the renowned leadership expert. Through collaboration and hands-on learning, students gained valuable insights on leadership development and the essential skills required for success in the ever-evolving job market.
(3) Christine Duffy | President, Carnival Cruise Line
At the newly opened Idea Center at MDC’s West Campus, Duffy sat down with students for a collaborative discussion where she emphasized the vital role of empathy in effective leadership and the value of building relationships and culture.
(4) Ken Griffin | Founder and CEO, Citadel
In partnership with the Economic Club of Miami, MDC hosted City of Miami Mayor Francis Suarez for an engaging conversation with Griffin who stated,“we are in one of the greatest institutions of education,” when discussing how education is the on-ramp to opportunity and the key to staying globally competitive as a country.
(5) Keith Rabois | Tech Executive, Investor and Partner at Founders Fund
His visit to MDC’s Idea Center kicked off with a private roundtable discussion, where he offered students advice and shared the importance of finding their strengths and figuring out ways to amplify them. The conversation continued with a public Q&A. “Be excellent at reading, writing, and math,” he said. “If you master those yourself, you have control of your destiny.”
(6) Jessica Alba | Actress and Founder, The Honest Company
MDC’s Idea Center hosted Culture Shift Labs for a summit that brought together Black and Hispanic leaders where Alba spoke about her passion to uplift female founders. In line with our mission at MDC, she also touched upon the importance of creating access to funding as well as a support network for emerging leaders.
