Miami Dade College’s Miami Film Festival concluded its milestone 40th edition with a lineup of poignant and impactful films, adding to its long history of showcasing rich cinematic works. The 2023 Festival presented more than 140 feature narratives, documentaries, and short films of all genres from more than thirty countries. Presented both in-theater and virtually over ten days in March, the 2023 Festival delighted attendees with in-person appearances by Academy Awardwinning Actor Nicolas Cage, Singer Gloria Estefan, and popular Comedian Ray Romano whose directorial debut for “Somewhere in Queens” opened the festival. Actors John Leguizamo and Diego Luna were also lauded during the festival, taking home awards of recognition.
