CMJ Motors Turkey Drop

The Annual Great Turkey Drop event was a huge success! “We are very grateful to those who came out and donated a turkey and gave their time for the sake of helping others this holiday season. Overall, we collected enough nonperishables and canned goods to feed a small town, roughly 500 to 600 turkeys, and $1600 between cash checks and gift cards! We distributed everything between 1. Sunday Breakfast Mission 2. Our Daily Bread 3. Knights of Columbus 4. Chesapeake City outreach group. Each of these organizations serves our local churches and sister groups that provide meals for families. Our community made it possible to feed 2000+ people this THANKSGIVING!!!! KSI Celebrates CARF Accreditation

Kent-Sussex Industries, Inc. (KSI) is proud to report that CARF International, (Commission for Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) has awarded KSI its 13th consecutive, three year accreditation. CARF sets very rigorous International standards and promotes best practices for organizations that provide training and employment services to individuals with disabilities.

CARF surveyors spent two days at KSI researching KSI practices, programs and procedures, talking with staff and interacting with the community about KSI’s quality services. In order to meet CARF quality standards, the KSI staff works year round to ensure quality standards are being met. CARF surveyors listed among its strengths KSI’s person centered programming, risk management procedures and focus on quality services.

KSI is a not for profit agency, providing vocational training, employment, supported employment, and day habilitation services to individuals with disabilities throughout Kent and Sussex Counties. KSI is committed to making all reasonable accommodations in order to ensure that our programs and services are as accessible as possible to as many people as possible.

Kiddie Academy

Kiddie Academy of Middletown recently received national accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The recognition comes from the nation’s leading organization of early childhood professionals. The accreditation is for five years. “Since opening we have aspired to achieve the highest educational standards,” Kiddie Academy of Middletown owner Susan Tudor said. “Achieving NAEYC accreditation is a proud moment for us, as we can now highlight the fact that we’re operating against the organization’s high standards in early childhood education to offer parents unparalleled education and care.” Since 1981, Kiddie Academy® has been a leader in education-based child care. For the second year in a row, Engineering News-Record Magazine has named Nickle Electrical Companies in its annual Top 600 Specialty Contractors list. Nickle snagged spot #426 on the famed list, a 31-place jump from last year.

Nickle Electrical Companies was founded in 1986 by the late Paul Allen Nickle as Paul A. Nickle, Inc. Electrical Contractors. Current owners Steve and Debbie Dignan acquired the company in 1991 and in 2008 the name was changed to Nickle Electrical Companies to better represent the company as a whole.
