Joshua Colover is a producer, director and writer of a full-service film produc-tion company – Aperture Films in Newport Beach. He won the Martin Scorsese Scholarship and the Wasser-man Award for his directing efforts while attending the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, and he is a member of the Writers Guild of Canada and the British Academy of Film and Television Arts. His biggest feat was producing and co-writing the feature documentary “Farther Than the Eye Can See,” a film that tells the epic story of a blind man’s quest to climb Mount Everest. The film captured the first high-definition footage from the summit and won numerous festival honors, earned two Emmy nominations and has been recognized as one of the 20 Best Adventure films. An online mul-timedia distribution platform is next. “The public has this idea that environmental-ists are all about being in Birkenstocks,” McKean says. “I’m here to say it’s not.” McKean has also worked as a producer on TV shows like “Change of Heart” and “Rendez-View,” been an executive producer of music videos, and a branding, marketing and media expert for companies in entertainment and poli-tics. She became interested in the environment after having a child and started a video blog called “The Green Chick.” This led to a guest spot on MSN’s “The Tastemaker.” She is now in development on a green living reality show.
