As an architect, Miami Dade College alumnus Bernard Zyscovich, Fellow of the American Institute of Architects (FAIA), has been exploring the boundaries of design innovation for more than 40 years as a dedicated urbanist and architect. As managing principal and CEO of Zyscovich Architects, he oversees a multifaceted collaboration of architects, interior designers and urban planners. Zyscovich founded Zyscovich Architects out of the desire to produce impact through ideas, aesthetic expression and technological innovation. The firm’s projects run the gamut in scale and type from urban plans for cities and neighborhoods to architecture for private and public clients. Zyscovich, a Miami Beach native, is proud to have participated in the transformation of his hometown throughout the past few decades, working on projects including the Loews Hotel expansion and the Lincoln Road Cinema. Although he is passionate about designing, his true calling is creating structures that are vehicles for social change. “At MDC, I had influential teachers that gave me the confidence to draw, draft and build,” said Zyscovich. “I was able to safely explore my options without judgment.”
