Solidifying existing partnerships to continue its work as the region’s premier incubator for future animators and game developers, the Miami Animation & Gaming International Complex (MAGIC) at Miami Dade College is continually connecting students with numerous scholarship opportunities. Since the inaugural CodeArt Miami event held at MAGIC last year, CodeArt has continued to show its support for MAGIC students throughout the year with scholarships, including a one-year tuition scholarship to Jaiden Llanes to study at MAGIC this fall. Gaming hardware leader Alienware, a Dell company, also continued its commitment to the next generation of game animators by awarding full-tuition scholarships to students Antonio Cardenas, Austin Acosta and Leon Skepple. “At Dell we are focused on using our expertise and resources to equip educators to build the STEM skills crucial for kids’ success in a technology-driven future,” said Frank Azor, VP and GM, Alienware and Dell XPS. “MAGIC is doing a phenomenal job developing curriculum and preparing students for future careers in these fields. I’ve been so impressed by the work MAGIC students have created and as a former MDC student, I’m proud to support such an incredible organization.”
