Donna Hrinak, the president of Boeing Latin America and vice president of Boeing International, recently appeared at Miami Dade College as the latest speaker in the Mike Fernandez Global Business Leadership Series. Hrinak shared her views on women in leadership and discussed her storied career in both public service and the private sector at the event, which took place at The Idea Center at MDC, Wolfson Campus. The corporate leader spent 30 years in the United States Foreign Service, working as U.S. Ambassador to Brazil, Venezuela and the Dominican Republic, as well as assistant secretary of state for Mexico and the Caribbean. Hrinak’s private sector resumé is just as impressive. Before she led Boeing Latin America, Hrinak was the corporate affairs director for Latin America and the European Union at Kraft Foods and, after that, the vice president of global public policy and government affairs at PepsiCo. The Mike Fernandez Global Business Leadership Series features distinguished corporate executives who share their first-hand knowledge of best business practices, leadership and emerging trends in their respective industries. The series kicked off earlier this year with Laxman Narasimhan, chief executive officer of PepsiCo Latin America, and Dr. Bernard Meyerson, the chief innovation officer at IBM. – AP
