Univision Creates Scholarship Fund for Talented Students Expanding on its robust partnership with MDC, Univision Communications Inc. recently donated $100,000 to establish the MAGIC Scholarship Fund in support of talented students studying at the College’s Miami Animation & Gaming International Complex (MAGIC). “Partnerships between MDC’s MAGIC and local industry are a key part of our academic program,” said MAGIC Chair Mauricio Ferrazza. “Collaborating with Univision is especially relevant since the company is part of our community and who we are.” The scholarship fund will support fellowship and internship programs for full-time MAGIC students with superb academic records who demonstrate financial need. One of those programs is the Univision Fellowship, previously established in 2015. The paid, six-month fellowship places MDC graduates at the network’s Miami headquarters, with the possibility of earning a full-time position at the end of the fellowship period. Univision, one of the first Spanish-language television channels established in the United States, is available in more than 60 American markets as well as in Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico.
