A new cohort of Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses (10KSB) is beginning at Miami Dade College in September, representing the 12th group of entrepreneurs seeking to expand their existing businesses and create new jobs with the help of the business education program. MDC received a five-year, $5 million grant from the Goldman Sachs Foundation to bring 10KSB to the Miami community. Among the first 11 cohorts, 322 local business owners have seen their ventures skyrocket, representing $485 million in aggregate business revenues and 5,400 baseline employees in the South Florida economy. 10KSB applicants must have already-established businesses with revenues of $150,000 or more in the most recent fiscal year and at least four full-time employees. The program is free for accepted applicants who meet eligibility requirements.
