MDC’s PTK Earns Five Star Status The Alpha Gamma Kappa chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) honor society just reached the summit of the society’s ladder of achievement, attaining the Five Star Level of the PTK’s engagement roadmap. The recognition goes only to the most active and successful chapters, demonstrating excellence combined with a robust campus and community engagement record. Getting to Five Star status can take years. It requires planning, outreach and collaboration. The status is a reflection of a chapter’s demonstration of leadership, fellowship, service and scholarship. Professor Davia Holness, who teaches in MDC’s Department of Natural Sciences, Health and Wellness, co-advises the chapter, which is located at Wolfson Campus.
