Programs Expand at MDC’s Entrepreneurial Think Tank In 2017, more students than ever before will attend groundbreaking lectures and classes at The Idea Center at Miami Dade College, a nationally recognized entrepreneurial think tank and learning institution at Wolfson Campus in Downtown Miami. Some of the programming in the coming weeks this spring includes the Mike Fernández Global Business Leadership Series, the threeday Great Miami Makeathon challenge, the annual American Entrepreneurship Award (AEA), an exciting job fair and the Entrepreneurial Startup Challenge. “We want to double down on engaging students, offering them a rich experience in innovation and entrepreneurship,” said Damian Thorman, MDC’s chief innovation officer. The stories here on Pages 8-9 offer highlights of a few of many events taking place this spring at The Idea Center.
